EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Burnton, Dalmellington) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 07 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

Temporary Road Closure – Burnton, Dalmellington Burnton -

From No.66 to No.88 Burnton (50m).

No Waiting At Any Time - Burnton, Dalmellington

Burnton - From No.66 to No.88 Burnton (50m) both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 20 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 20 July 2026 at 08:00 until 31 July 2026 at 17:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible.

On 07 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

Road Closure – Stevenson Street, Kilmarnock

Stevenson Street - From Outside No.17 to junction with B7081 Irvine Road for 62m.

No Waiting At Any Time – Stevenson Street, Kilmarnock

Suspension of One Way Operation – Stevenson Street, Kilmarnock

One Way Operation to be revoked - From junction of Gibson Street to No.17.

The Order commences on 20 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 20 July 2026 at 08:00 until 31 July 2026 at 17:00.

On 02 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

Road Closure – Robertson Crescent

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.

(C12, Castle Road, Dunure) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 02 July 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – C12,Castle Road, Dunure, From A719 junction at Dunure Mains for 540m.

The Order commences on 21 July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 21 July 2026 at 08:00 until 03 August 2026 at 17:00

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via Castle Road, Station Road, A719 Ayr Road, A719 and vice versa.
