What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (MARKET STREET AND NEW MARKET STREET, ULVERSTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (ULVERSTON PRIDE FESTIVAL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to facilitate the holding of the Ulverston Pride Festival (“the Event”) in Ulverston and to Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road;

i. Market Street, from its junction with New Market Street, extending in an easterly direction to its junction with Brogden Street; and

ii. New Market Street, from its junction with Market Street extending in a southerly direction for its entire length.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via Cross Street and Brogden Street.

The Order will come into operation on Saturday 04 July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of three days from that date. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 1 day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
