What is happening?

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL WILLOUGHBY ON THEWOLDS FOOTPATH NO.10 DIVERSION

On 3rd July 2026 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public right of way commencing from a point, SK 6382 2523 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a south-south easterly direction over a grass surface across a field to point SK 6394 2519; then continuing for a further 4 metres to point SK 6395 2519, where it meets the original footpath at Holmefield Farm. The width of the footpath shall be 1.5 metres throughout its entire length, as shown on the Order Map and also provide for the consequential amendment of the Nottinghamshire Definitive map and Statement.

A copy of the Order as confirmed, and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive 8th July 2026 to 19th August 2026.

Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5.00 per copy.

This Order comes into force on 3rd July 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 8th July 2026, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
