Darklands Road - Temporary Road Closure To Gas Mains Disconnection
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE DARKLANDS ROAD, SWADLINCOTE
WHEN: 27 July to 29 July 2026 (08:00 to 18:00)
WHERE: Darklands Road, Swadlincote between Toulmin Drive and Civic Way.
REASON: To facilitate gas mains disconnection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Darklands Road, Newhall Road, Springfield Road, Midland Road, Lower Midland Road, Civic Way and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
