Kathleen Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Carriageway Repair Works

(KATHLEEN ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (069/67)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Kathleen Road from its junction with Alfriston Gardens to its junction with Cleethorpe Road.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete carriageway repairs.

3. The alternative route will be Kathleen Road, Bursledon Road, North East Road and South East Road.

4. The Order will come into force on 24th July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 24th July 2026.
