TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 29th June 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Highfield Lane from its junction with Nile Road to its junction with Furzedown Road.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for carriageway repairs.
3. The alternative route will be Highfield Lane, Portswood Road, Langhorn Road, Burgess Road and The Avenue.
4. The Order will come into force on 6th July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 7th July 2026.
