Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road and Footway Closures for Infrastructure and Maintenance Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) West Ashton Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Broadcloth Lane East to its junction with B3105 to enable UK Power Solutions to carry out electrical and gas connections with associated works. Alternative route via B3105 – A361 – West Ashton Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required until 11 September 2026. D) Lye Green, Westwood; from its junction with Jones Hill to its junction with C222.

E) C222 (Part), Westwood; from its junction with Lye Green to its junction with C217 to enable Openreach to carry out overhead cabling and associated works. Alternative route C/D via Jones Hill (unaffected length) – B3109 – C216 – C217 – C222 and vice versa. Alternative route E via C222 (unaffected length) – C217 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 5 days. The phases will run consecutively. F) B3107 (Part), Holt; from its junction with Little Parks to its junction with Great Parks to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route via B3107 (unaffected length) – B3105 – A361 – A350 – B3107 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 5 days. G) Smallbrook Road (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Beckford Close to its junction with Chain Lane to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Gipsy Lane – Plants Green – B3414 – Smallbrook Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 21 August 2026. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

H) B3095 (Part), Kingston Deverill; from its property known as The Old Forge to its property known as Hedge Cottage to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out electricity pole and associated works. Diversion route for lights and vehicles over 7.5t. Diversion route to be symbolised hollow diamond for clockwise diversion and hollow circle for anti clockwise diversion. Alternative route light vehicles under 7.5t clockwise via B3095 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3089 – A303 – B3095 (unaffected length). Alternative route light vehicles under 7.5t anti clockwise via B3095 (unaffected length) – A303 – A350 – B3095 (unaffected length). Alternative route HGVs over 7.5t clockwise via B3095 (unaffected length) – A350 – A303 – B3095 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Phase 2: Mortimer Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with New Road to its junction with A363.

Phase 3: Mortimer Street (Part) Southbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its junction with New Road to its junction with A363 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out highway improvement and associated maintenance works. Alternative route A via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – Frome Road – A361. Alternative route B via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – Frome Road – A361 – A363. Alternative route C via Mortimer Street (unaffected length) – A361 – Frome Road – Mortimer Street (unaffected length). The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and the phases will run consecutively until 02 October 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. footway river crossing south of Wicker Hill, Trowbridge; from its junction with Stallard Street to its junction with Wicker Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree and associated works. Alternative route via footway – Stallard Street – Town Bridge – Wicker Hill and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and it is anticipated the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 for 5 days. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.
