What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Penton Lane between its junction with Back Lane and its junction with Chalkcroft Lane.   Farm Lane between its junction with Penton Lane and its junction with Penton Road.   Scramblers Mead between its junction with Penton Lane and continuing until its termination.  
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Penton Lane, Chalkcroft Lane, Foxcotte Lane, Weyhill Bottom, Back Lane.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 20th July 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 7 weeks working between the hours 08:00-16:30). Please note these are rolling road closures and access will remain where possible.  
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for McAllister to complete drainage works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: helpdeskld@vortexcompanies.com.
