TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (FERNSHAW ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Fernshaw Road to be closed in sections from the junction of the Fulham Road to the junction of King's Road. Diverted through traffic may use Fernshaw Road Fulham Road, Edith Grove, Edith Terrace, Fernshaw Road, or Fulham Road, King's Road, Fernshaw Road. Or Fernshaw Road, King's Road, Gunter Grove, Edith Terrace, or Fernshaw Road, or Gunter Grove, Fulham Road, Fernshaw Road.
Edith Terrace to be closed each side of the junction with Fernshaw Road.
Diverted through traffic may use Edith Terrace, Edith Grove, King's Road, Gunter Grove, Edith Terrace, or Edith Terrace, Gunter Grove, Fulham Road, Edith Grove, Edith Terrace.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 20th July 2026 until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 9th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers. Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
