(Bromley Road, Chequers Road, Grange Road, Pedler’s Corner & School Lane, Lawford/Mistley) (Temporary One Way & No Entry) (Tendring Hundred Show) Order 2026

(Footpath 52, Lawford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) (Tendring Hundred Show) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Orders under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the orders:

1. To impose a Temporary ‘One-Way’ Restriction on the following length of roads, Lawford/Mistley, in the District of Tendring:

Road Description Permitted direction of travel
Bromley Road, Lawford/Mistley From its junction with A137 Wignall Street, to its junction with Grange Road (will be in place between the approximate hours of 08:30h and 14:30h. At the discretion of Essex Police this will be reversed from approximately 14:30h to 17:30h) Southbound
Chequers Road, Lawford/Mistley From its junction with Pedler’s Corner to its junction with Bromley Road. Southbound then Westbound
Pedler’s Corner, Lawford/Mistley From its junction with B1035 Clacton Road to its junction with Chequers Road. Southbound then Westbound

2. To introduce a Temporary ‘Prohibition of Entry’ Restriction on the following length of roads, Lawford/Mistley, in the District of Tendring:

Road Description
Bromley Road, Lawford/Mistley At its junction with Dead Lane.
Grange Road, Lawford/Mistley At its junction with School Lane (this restriction will remain in place until the one way system on Bromley Road is reversed)
School Lane, Lawford/Mistley At its junction with A137 Wignall Street.

The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 11 July 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 07:00 and 19:30 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, they are required for the safety of the public while the Tendring Hundred Show takes place.

3. To temporarily close that length of Footpath 52, Lawford, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bromley Road, southeast for approximately 177 metres. Diversion will be via Bromley Road. This restriction will be in force from 18:00 on Friday 10 July 2026 to 19:30 on Saturday 11 July 2026.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians (not on Footpath 52) will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The Orders will come into effect on 10 July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months (6 months for Footpath 52, Lawford) or until the event has been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Colchester Road, Wix) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Wix in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 475m north east of its junction with Honeypot Lane for a distance of approximately 200m in a north easterly then south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WGNF013S – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, A120, Harwich Road, Colchester Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pound Farm Drive/The Haven/Clarkes Road, Dovercourt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Pound Farm Drive, Dovercourt, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Clarkes Road to its other junction with Clarkes Road, a distance of approximately 355m.

2. To temporarily close that length of The Haven, Dovercourt, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Pound Farm Drive to its end, a distance of approximately 70m.

3. To temporarily close that length of Clarkes Road, Dovercourt, in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Dockfield Avenue for a distance of approximately 135m in a south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 38 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001504367, AZ5011001504368 & AZ5011001504369 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. Clarkes Road and vice versa.

2. Clarkes Road, Main Road, Parkeston Road, Clarkes Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Windmill Road & Straight Road, Bradfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Windmill Road, Bradfield in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 285m north west of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Straight Road, Bradfield in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Windmill Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 15th July 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA3265020SB & BC0080GEAA3265020SB1 – Openreach).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. Windmill Road, Mill Lane, The Street, B1352, Heath Road and vice versa.

2. Straight Road, Steam Mill Road, Heath Road, The Street, Mill Lane, Windmill Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 26th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
