TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (PELHAM STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Pelham Street, to be closed from the junction of Brompton Road to the junction of Pelham Place.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 20th July 2026 until 18.00hrs on Friday 24th July 2026, with backup dates of Monday 27th July 2026 until Friday 31st July 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Brompton Road, Thurloe Place, Cromwell Place, Old Brompton Road, Pelham Street, or Pelham Street, Old Brompton Road, Cromwell Place, Thurloe Place, Brompton Road, Beauchamp Place, Walton Street, Draycott Avenue, Brompton Road, or Pelham Street, Old Brompton Road, Onslow Square, Sydney Place, Fulham Road, Pelham Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
