(CABERSTON ROAD, WALKERBURN) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Caberston Road, Walkerburn) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 3 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 14:00. The Order is required for BT pole replacement works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Caberston Road, Walkerburn.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A72, B709, D83/1 and D80/1 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
