PROPOSED MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS
VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth propose to make the following Orders under section 6, 45 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

• *The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. *) Order 202.

The Wandsworth (Southfields) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 202.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-

(a) Elsenham Street – Zone S2 permit bay - to convert 4.7 metres of single yellow line into an S2 Permit Holder Only bay.

(b) Bevil Allen Close – introduction of double yellow lines to upgrade the existing single yellow lines to no waiting ‘At Any Time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) in order to deter obstructive parking in the Close.

(c) Ravenna Road – Double Yellow Line Waiting Restrictions - to upgrade the existing single yellow lines to no waiting ‘At Any Time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) in order to protect dropped kerb access at 13b and 13a Ravenna Road.

(d) Sutherland Grove – Double Yellow Line Waiting Restriction - to change an existing six-metre length of single yellow line to no waiting ‘At Any Time’ (double yellow lines) to alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow on Augustus Road.

(e) College Gardens at St Hughes Close – Double Yellow Line Waiting Restrictions - to introduce no waiting ‘At Any Time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) in order to protect driveway access and deter obstructive parking at junctions.

3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in the Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

4. Any person wishing to make a comment about the proposals should send a statement in writing to the Executive Director of Resident Services at the address below within 21 days of the date of this Notice

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – BALHAM PARK ROAD

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate highway works (“the works”) they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce road closures in the roads detailed in Paragraph 2.
  2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Balham Park Road from its junction with St James’s Drive for a distance of 15 metres.
  3. The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The works are expected to be completed by 24 July 2026.
  4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Ousley Road and Sarsfield Road.
  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  1. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS – ALTON ROAD & BESSBOROUGH ROAD SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth propose to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Alton Road & Bessborough Road to facilitate Road and Footway alteration works for the New Development.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, temporary waiting restrictions will be introduced in the roads or sections of roads listed below:-
  • Alton Road - between Lamp Columns 22-26 (outside the Development)
  • Bessborough Road - from the junction with Alton Road to the junction with Norley Vale.
  • Alton Road - the footway between lamp columns 22-26 will also be closed for the duration of the works. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
  1. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.
  2. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.
  3. The order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 31 August 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – CHATTO ROAD SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Chatto Road to facilitate Thames Water utility works.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Chatto Road from the junction with Webbs Road to the junction with Allfriston Road. There will be no waiting at any time.
  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.
  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.
  5. The order will come into operation on 13 July 2026 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 1 September 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – COLINETTE ROAD SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Colinette Road to facilitate a Crane Operation.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Colinette Road from the junction with Upper Richmond Road to the junction with Howards Lane. The footway on both sides will also be closed for the duration of the works. Pedestrian access will be maintained by via banksmen. There will be no waiting 09:30–15:00.
  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.
  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.
  5. The order will come into operation on 15 July 2026 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 15 July 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – CRESTWAY SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Crestway to facilitate Caden gas utility works.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Crestway temporary waiting restrictions will be introduced on both sides of the road as follows:
  • outside number 17 to the junction with Dover House Road
  • outside number 2 - 12

There will be no waiting at any time Monday - Sunday.

Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.
