1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Order:
*The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. ) Order 2022 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 (insofar as applicable) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and all other powers thereunto enabling.
2. The general effect will be to reduce certain lengths of parking restrictions to facilitate new pedestrian Crossings as mentioned in item 4 below in Park Lane, Carshalton outside and opposite Nos. 52 to 60.
3. Commencing 2 July 2026, copies of the proposed Order, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and draft map-based schedules showing the location and the effect of the proposals may be inspected as follows:
(a) online at https://consultation.appyway.com/sutton selecting MapSutt1235 – Park Lane Crossing;
(b) at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA; or
(c) copies of the draft Order and draft map-based schedules can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000 (between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday).
Comments to the proposed Order can be submitted either electronically via the link provided in paragraph 3(a) above or in writing to the TMO Team, Highways and Transport, Kingston & Sutton Shared Environment Service, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA by 23 July 2026 quoting reference MapSutt1235 – Park Lane Crossing.
4. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton intends to introduce new zebra crossings as mentioned in item 2 above that have been designed to improve road safety for pedestrians in Park Lane, Carshalton outside and opposite Nos. 52 to 60. The overall length of the crossing and regulatory zig-zag road markings will be 41.78 metres.
Overtaking, parking, loading and unloading will be prohibited on the lengths of road covered by the zig-zag markings.
