THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 43 (PART) CHEDDLETON PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 43 Cheddleton Parish from its junction with the temporary alternative route to its junction with temporary alternative route at Little Sprink for approximately 180m.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the deposition of soil.
An alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 30/7/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
