What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

PUBLIC FOOTPATH SM69A IN THE PARISH OF LIGHTHORNE
Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic from grid reference SP34354 to SP56642.
Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because of the dangerous condition of the bridge.
Order Commences: 10 July 2026 for up to 6 months.
Access & Diversion: No alternatove route available.

COMPTON VERNEY HALF MARATHON - SPECIAL EVENTS ORDER
Order Effect: The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic: Compton Hill, Compton Verney; Spring Hill, Combrook; Combrook Road, Pittern Hill and Warwick Road, Kineton.
Reason for Order: The closures and restrictions are required for the safety of the public and of the participants in the Compton Verney Half Marathon.
Order Commences: 12 July 2026 for 1 day.
Access & Diversion: Will be appropriately signed.

HASTINGS ROAD, WELLESBOURNE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Boundary box installation works.
Order Commences: 7 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 8 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: St Peters Road, St James Avenue, Hastings Road and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

CHURCH STREET, STRATFORD UPON AVON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Sluice valve — rebuild chamber works, overnight 20.00hrs-06.00hrs.
Order Commences: 20 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Chestnut Walk, Rother Street, Wood Street, Market Cross, High Street, Chapel Street and vice versa.
Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

WHICHFORD ROAD, STOURTON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Essential utility works.
Order Commences: 21 July 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Village Road, Church Row, The Close, Little Wolford Road, Wood Lane, London Road, Shipston Road, Harrow Hill, Long Compton Road, Church Road, Main Street, Barrats Hill, Whichford Road and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
