What is happening?

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
A171 MIDDLESBROUGH ROAD GUISBOROUGH TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2026

Not less than 7 days herefrom the Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of road specified below.

The effect of the Order will be to impose a mandatory 30 mph speed limit on the road as specified in the Schedule below.

Vehicles falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with Regulation 3(5) of those Regulations will be exempt from the restriction.

(The above restrictions will only apply at such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs).

The Order will come into operation on the 3.8.26 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months.

A171 Middlesbrough Road, Guisborough, 160 metres East to West outside Upsall Cottages, Guisborough.
