TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:
ORDER NO. MCC000 150983632 : The City of Manchester (Cheetham Hill Road, Crumpsall Ward)(Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2026under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: Cheetham Hill Road from Humphrey Street to 466 Cheetham Hill Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate utility works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 20th July 2026 to 24th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 20th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 7th July 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 150958848: The City of Manchester (Beresford Road, Rusholme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Beresford Road from Turnbull Road to Reynell Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Old Hall Lane, Birchfields Road, Birch Hall Lane, Thoresway Road, Stamford Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a New Water Connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 The order shall come into operation on 20th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
