WOODCOTE GROVE ROAD, COULSDON, AND SIDE ROADS
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements on Woodcote Grove Road and side roads.
- Whilst the said works are taking place, phased closures will apply as detailed below.

- During the works the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.
- Northbound Diversion: Via Farthing Way, Brighton Road, Banstead Road and Foxley Lane.
- Southbound Diversion: Via Foxley Lane, Russell Hill Road, Purley Road, Brighton Road, Farthing Way, Brighton Road, and Lion Green Road.
- The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
- The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
- (a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
- (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
- (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
FOR MISS LA LA CIRCUS ARTS EVENT
HIGH STREET, CROYDON – CYCLE LANE CLOSURE
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the For Miss La La circus arts event in High Street, Croydon, they intend to make a Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in High Street, Croydon.
- During the event, the cycle lane in High Street, Croydon, between its junctions with Katharine Street and Park Street will be closed.
- The Order will come into effect on 04 July 2026 and will remain in force for two days.
- During the closure cyclists will be asked to dismount and walk through the closure area.
- The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
- (a) Any vehicle involved in setting up the event.
- (b) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
- (c) Any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
SOUTH NORWOOD FESTIVAL, SOUTH NORWOOD
ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the South Norwood Festival they have made a Traffic Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Lawrence Road and Cargreen Road.
- During the festival the effect of the Order will be to:
- Close Cargreen Road between the entrance to South Norwood Recreation Ground and its junction with Lawrence Road.
- Suspend parking and introduce waiting and loading restrictions operating “at any time” on the north-east (odd-numbered) side of Lawrence Road.
- Suspend parking and introduce waiting and loading restrictions operating “at any time” on both sides of Cargreen Road between the Recreation Ground entrance and its junction with Lawrence Road.
- The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.
- The Order will come into effect on 05 July 2026 and will remain in force for one day.
- Nothing in the Order shall apply:
- (a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or Civil Enforcement Officer.
- (b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
