AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

GATESTONE ROAD, UPPER NORWOOD

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Thames Water works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking on Gatestone Road.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    (a) Gatestone Road will be closed between its junction with Bedwardine Road and the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 Gatestone Road.

    (b) Parking outside Nos. 20 to 24 Gatestone Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

  3. During the works the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be via Gatestone Road, Central Hill, South Vale, Bedwardine Road, and reversed.
  4. The Order will come into operation on 06 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 31 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)

ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

PARK ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Park Road, South Norwood.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Park Road will be closed between its junctions with Holmesdale Road and Bungalow Road.
  3. During the closure, the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
    • Eastbound: Via Selhurst Road, Whitworth Road, and Whitehorse Road.
    • Westbound: Via Whitehorse Road, Clifton Road, and Selhurst Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 06 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 26 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

    (c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

HILLSIDE ROAD AND GOODWIN ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main decommissioning and connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Hillside Road and Goodwin Road, Croydon.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    (a) Hillside Road will be closed at its junction with Denning Avenue.

    (b) Goodwin Road will be closed at its junction with Denning Avenue.

  3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be as detailed below.

    • Via Price Road, Violet Lane and reversed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 14 August 2026.
  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) a vehicle involved in the said works.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

MONAHAN AVENUE, PURLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a crane operation they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic and parking in Monahan Avenue, Purley.
  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    (a) Both the footway and carriageway will be closed outside No. 3 Monahan Avenue.

    (b) Parking outside and opposite No. 3 Monahan Avenue will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking will apply.

  3. During the closure, traffic will be diverted via Woodcote Valley Road. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.
  4. The Order will come into operation on 16 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by 27 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  6. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

OLD LODGE LANE, PURLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecom blockage removal work, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit parking in Old Lodge Lane, Purley.
  2. Whilst the said work is taking place, parking in the free parking bays opposite Nos. 14 to 16 and Nos. 18 to 24 Old Lodge Lane will be suspended.
  3. During the work the bus stop Beaumont Primary School, Stop RT, will also be suspended.
  4. The Order will come into operation on 16 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
  5. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2016.
  6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) a vehicle attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
