Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 23 and Footpath 24, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford as specified below.

The Order will come into effect on 05 July 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cannons Lane, Hatfield Broad Oak in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 20m south east of its junction with Cage End for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410321971 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.
An alternative route is available via B183, Cage End, Cannons Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Causeway End Road, Felsted)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Causeway End Road, Felsted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 240m north east of its junction with Chelmsford Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06164243JB – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Causeway End Road, Felsted Road, School Lane, Main Road, A131, B1008, B1417, Causeway End Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Road, Stansted)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Stansted in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Chapel Hill to its junction with Walson Way a distance of approximately 755m.
- To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
“The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH240210 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation & improvement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via B1051, B1383 Forest Hall Road, Walson Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tilty Grange Road, Tilty)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tilty Grange Road, Tilty in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Dunmow Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410271768 – Affinity Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Maltings Bridge Lane, Muscombs Lane, Broxted Road, Duck Street, Dunmow Road and vice versa (with access only into Tilty Grange Road).
The Order came into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
