(Footpath 3 and Footpath 4, Weeley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 3 and Footpath 4, Weeley in the District of Tendring as below.

(Bakers Lane, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with The Chase Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03168107606 – Anglian Water Business (National). The scheduled dates may vary if these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via Bakers Lane, B1508, Packards Lane, Fordham Road, Wormingford Road, Plummers Road, Chappel Road, Pelham Hall Lane, A1124, London Road, Cymbeline Way, Spring Lane Roundabout, Spring Lane North and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Collingwood Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Collingwood Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010709913/1 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reinstatement defect works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via Collingwood Road, Clairmont Road, Straight Road, London Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Greenfield Drive, Great Tey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Greenfield Drive, Great Tey in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m north east then north of its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03168161254 - Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

An alternative route is available via The Street, Chappel Road and vice versa (with access only into Greenfield Drive).

The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Road, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with East Road to its junction with Colchester Road a distance of approximately 320m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 – (19:30 - 05:00) for 4 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2392842 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, High Street North, B1025 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(The Chase, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Chase, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Greenstead Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to continue on from the 30th June 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001519548 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.

No diversion route is available.

The Order came into effect on 30th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Street/East Hill/East Street, Colchester)

(Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in those lengths of High Street/East Hill/East Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from the junction with Queen Street to the junction with East Bay a distance of approximately 660m.

“The Essex County Council (Borough of Colchester) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force”.

The clearway is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 32 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20111982338, EP20114907523 & EP20106182345 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The clearway is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order came into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old London Road, Marks Tey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old London Road, Marks Tey in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 10m south east of its junction with Marks Tey Roundabout for a distance of approximately 600m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 – (21:00 - 05:00) for 83 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (FN40629271109 – National Highways Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by National Highways Ltd.

The Order will come into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Station Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily suspend the bus lane in that length of Station Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester from a point approximately 85m south west then south east of its junction with North Station Roundabout for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly then south westerly direction as detailed in the “The Colchester Borough Council (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 2000” for the duration of the closure only.

The suspension is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (NK1021634491/RC – Virgin Media Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Virgin Media Limited.

(St Osyth Road, Alresford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Osyth Road, Alresford in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Coach Road to its junction with Wivenhoe Road a distance of approximately 415m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th July 2026 for 1 night (20:00-07:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20193260595 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge monitoring works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1027, A133, B1027 and vice versa.

(Tendring Road, Little Bentley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tendring Road, Little Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 1165m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374615 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Little Bentley Road, B1035, Crow Lane, B1033, A133, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 25th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
