What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(DAVID GROVE, BRAMCOTE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-126) 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Bramcote in the Borough of Broxtowe.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

2. David Grove, Bramcote, - From its junction with A52 Derby Road to its junction with Heather Rise.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 Hours on Monday 20th July 2026
Until 18:00 hours on Friday 7th August 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

David Grove - Carwood Road - Sandy Lane.

The Order will come into force on 20th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable National Grid to carry out works to Install trenching and cabling for a new Sub Station.
