Various Roads, Portsmouth - New Waiting Restrictions
What is happening?
NEW WAITING RESTRICTIONS, VARIOUS ROADS
Portsmouth City Council hereby gives Notice that on the 6 July 2026 it made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into effect on 10 July 2026.
The effect of the Order will be as follows:
a) To introduce “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions (double yellow lines) at the
following locations:
MONEYFIELD AVENUE
North side:
(i) From 5 metres east to 5 metres west of its junction with Salcombe Avenue, outside Nos. 9 and 13 Moneyfield Avenue.
(ii) From 10 metres east to 10 metres west of its junction with Redcar Avenue, outside Nos. 21a and 23 Moneyfield Avenue.
South side:
(i) From 10 metres east to 10 metres west of its junction with Sidmouth Avenue,
(ii) From 10 metres east to 10 metres west of its junction with Seaton Avenue, outside No. 8 Moneyfield Avenue.
SEATON AVENUE
West side: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue, for a distance of 10 metres southwards.
East side: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue for a distance of 22 metres southwards, outside Nos. 46 and 48 Seaton Avenue.
Both sides: From its junction with Teignmouth Road for a distance of 10 metres northwards, outside Nos. 1 and 2 Seaton Avenue.
SIDMOUTH AVENUE
West side: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue, for a distance of 10 metres southwards, outside No. 25 Sidmouth Avenue.
East side: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue, for a distance of 16 metres southwards, outside Nos. 30 and 32 Sidmouth Avenue.
Both sides: From its junction with Teignmouth Road, for a distance of 5 metres northwards, outside Nos. 1 and 2 Sidmouth Avenue.
SALCOMBE AVENUE
Both sides: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue For a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction
REDCAR AVENUE
Both sides: From its junction with Moneyfield Avenue, for or a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction, outside No. 1a Redcar Avenue.
TEIGNMOUTH ROAD
North side:
(i) From 10 metres east to 10 metres west of its junction with Sidmouth Avenue
(ii) From 10 metres east to 10 metres west of its junction with Seaton Avenue

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
