HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn Bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1.     Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 15fed Gorffennaf 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau ar 15fed Gorffennaf 2026, gan weithio rhwng 09:30-15:30.  

2.     Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i BT wneud gwaith yn gosod polion mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.  Bydd mynediad rhesymol yn cael ei gynnal ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.      

3.     Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd cau dros dro ran o Heol Whitelye, Bae Botany, Sir Fynwy, ~140m I’r gorllewin o’r gyffordd gyda Heol Tryleg am ~180m.  

4.     Bydd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn: Heol Whitelye, Heol Catbrook, Heol Back, Ceciliford, R92 Tryleg i Ceciliford, Heol Catbrook, B4293, R94 Llanisien i Groes Tyndyrn, Heol Forge, A466, Heol Tryleg ac  i’r gwrthwyneb.  

5.     Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Heol Whitelye, Bae Botany, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6.     Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(WHITELYE ROAD, BOTANY BAY, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.     The Order shall come into operation on the 15th July 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 15th July 2026, operating between 09:30-15:30.  

2.     The order is necessary for BT poling works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3.     The effect of the order will be to temporarily close a section of Whitelye Road, Botany Bay, Monmouthshire, ~140m west from its junction with Trellech Road for ~180m..  

4.     A signed diversionary route will be in place as follows:- Whitelye Road, Catbrook Road, Back Road,Ceciliford, R92 Trellech to Ceciliford, Catbrook Road, B4293, r94 Llanishen to Tintern Cross, Forge Road, A466, Trellech Road and vice versa.  

5.     This order may be cited as the Whitelye Road, Botany Bay, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6.     By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
