Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 – Various Roads – Peterborough Station Quarter Ref: 27-040
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the roads and footpaths detailed in the schedule below.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads and footpaths. The alternative routes for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 05/07/2026 and will continue until the Peterborough Station Quarter improvement works have been completed or until the 04/01/2028, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 – Newark Road Ref: 27-094
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Newark Road, Eastbound closure as lies between Newark Road and the Boongate roundabout. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Boongate, Fengate and Padholme Road East. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/07/2026 and will continue until the antenna installation works have been completed or until the 09/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only between 20:00 on 10/07/2026 and 06:00 on 11/07/2026. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 – Thorney Road, Peakirk Ref: 27-096
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Thorney Road, Peakirk as lies between points 20 metres either side of Folly Bank Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 Thorney Rd, Werrington Bridge Rd, Glinton Bypass, B1443 Lincoln Rd, High St, Peakirk Rd, St Pegas Rd and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 11/07/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 10/07/2027, whichever is the earlier.
