Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
Bakers Cross, Cranbrook, TN17 3AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bakers Cross, Cranbrook, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Hazels. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bakers Cross, The Hill, St Davids Bridge, Waterloo Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound roundabout, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, Chapel Lane, Golford Road and vice versa.
Bodiam Road, Sandhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 165 metres Southeast from The Millhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bodiam Road, A268 Queen Street, A268 Megrims Hill, A268 Rye Road, A229 Highgate Hill, A229 Moor Hill, A229 The Moor, B2244 Hastings Road, B2244 Hawkhurst Road, Castle Road, Peters Green Road and vice versa.
Colbran Way, Rusthall, TN3 0YA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow crane access to replace one telegraph pole in private, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Colbran Way, Rusthall, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside property number 8 to outside property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.

Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow sewer cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Sussex Mews, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00, weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Linden Park Road, A26 Eridge Road, Nevill Terrace and vice versa.

To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandhurst Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20 metres either side of railway bridge TTH/13, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road, A264 Pembury Road, A264 Calverley Road, Camden Road, Quarry Road, Grosvenor Bridge, Upper Grosvenor Road and vice versa.
St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow hydrant replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended in the vicinity of The Army Reserve Centre, between the hours of 19:00 on 27th July 2026 and 07:00 on 29th July 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0TY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow underground service cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockland Green Road, Speldhurst, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1, weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockland Green Road, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, Stockland Green Road and vice versa.
Vale Road, Southborough, TN4 0SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vale Road, Southborough, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holden Road, A26 London Road, Vale Road and vice versa.
Wheatfield Drive, Cranbrook, TN17 3LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow reinstatement around cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wheatfield Drive, Cranbrook, on or after 15th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 19, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wheatfield Way, A229 Angley Road, High Street, Wheatfield Way and vice versa.
