What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

Barden Road & Holford Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1SG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barden Road, Tonbridge, and prohibit parking on Holford Street, Tonbridge, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Barden Road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 22. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Parking on Holford Street will be prohibited between Barden Road and Denvers Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holford Street, Danvers Road and vice versa.



Comp Lane, St Mary’s Platt (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow three new telegraph poles to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Comp Lane, St Mary’s Platt, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 20 metres, 80 metres and 130 metres west of the entrance to Mid Comp Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Comp Lane, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Mereworth Road, Forge Lane, Gover Hill, The Hurst, Long Mill Lane, Comp Lane and vice versa.



Pilgrims Way, Wrotham, TN15 7DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wrotham, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Old London Road, High Street, Kemsing Road, Battlefields Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.



Ridgeway Crescent, Tonbridge, TN10 4NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ridgeway Crescent, Tonbridge, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ridgeway Crescent, The Ridgeway, Ridgeway Crescent and vice versa.



Sheet Hill, Plaxtol, TN15 0PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sheet Hill, Plaxtol, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sheet Hill, Bewley Lane, A227 Tonbridge Road, Plaxtol Lane, Church Hill, Tree Lane, Yopps Green, Sheet Hill and vice versa.



St Marys Road, Wrotham, TN15 7RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock and meter works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Marys Road, Wrotham, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 1 Greenwood Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Borough Green Road, High Street, St Marys Road and vice versa.



The Street, Plaxtol, TN15 0QG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Plaxtol, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Cobden. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Long Mill Lane, The Hurst, Oxenhoath Road, Hamptons Road, School Lane, The Street and vice versa.



Vigo Road, Fairseat, TN15 7LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Road, Fairseat, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Fairseat House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vigo Road, A227 Gravesend Road, Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, Labour In Vain Road, Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted Hill and vice versa.
