Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A224 London Road, Dunton Green, TN13 2TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A224 London Road, Dunton Green, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Dunton Green Primary School.
The alternative route is via A224 Morants Court Road, B2211 Ovenden Road, B2211 Chevening Road, A25 Main Road, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, A25 The Square, A25 London Road, A224 London Road and vice versa.
B2027 Four Elms Road, Edenbridge, TN8 6AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a sewer connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Four Elms Road, Edenbridge, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Oaklands.
The alternative route is via B2026 Station Road, B2026 Main Road, B269 Spout Lane, B269 Pootings Road, B2027 Four Elms Road and vice versa.
B2027 High Street/Penshurst Road/Tonbridge Road, Penshurst Lane & Penshurst Road, Leigh, TN11 8RR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of carriageway resurfacing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on B2027 High Street/Penshurst Road/Tonbridge Road, Penshurst Lane and Penshurst Road, Leigh, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 5 nights between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
B2027 High Street/Penshurst Road/Tonbridge Road will be closed between The Green and B2176 Moorden Lane.
Penshurst Lane and Penshurst Road will be closed between B2027 Penshurst Road and B2176 Station Hill.
The alternative route is via Penshurst Road, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 High Street, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, A26 London Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road, B2260 Railway Approach, B2260 High Street, A227 High Street, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Leigh Road, B2027 Stocks Green Road, B2027 Hildenborough Road B2027 High Street and vice versa.
Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Vine Place.
The alternative route is via Chart Lane, A25 High Street/Main Road, Church Road, Ide Hill Road, Sundridge Road, Ide Hill Roundabout, Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Road From B2042 Ide Hill Road To C307 Ide Hill Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane, Toys Hill and vice versa.
Cow Lane, Mark Beech, TN8 5PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cow Lane, Mark Beech, on or after 30th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Buckhurst Lane, Wilderness Lane, Buckhurst and vice versa.
Hale Oak Road, Chiddingstone, TN8 7AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hale Oak Road, Chiddingstone, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approx. 110m north of Brownings Cottage.
The alternative route is via Hale Oak Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bore Place Road, Baileys Hill Road, Bowzell Green, Bowzell Road and vice versa.
Maplescombe Lane, Farningham, DA4 0LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maplescombe Lane, Farningham, on or after 15th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Old Stables.
The alternative route is via Botsom Lane, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill/London Road, A225 Eynsford Road, Beesfield Lane, Maplescombe Lane and vice versa.
Mapleton Road, Four Elms, TN8 6PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mapleton Road, Four Elms, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Obriss Lodge.
The alternative route is via Mapleton Road, B2026 Hosey Common Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road and vice versa.
Mill Lane, Underriver, TN15 0SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of drainage repairs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Underriver, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Vines Lane and Underriver House Road.
The alternative route is via Underriver House Road, Shipbourne Road, Riding Lane, Vines Lane and vice versa.
New Barn Road, Swanley, BR8 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Barn Road, Swanley, on or after 15th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of Five Wents Hall.
The alternative route is via B258 Main Road, College Road, New Barn Road and vice versa.
Park Lane, Seal, TN15 0EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Seal, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Park Lodge.
The alternative route is via Park Lane, Blackhall Lane, B2019 Seal Hollow Road, A25 Seal Road, A25 High Street and vice versa.
Scabharbour Road, Hildenborough, TN11 8PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scabharbour Road, Hildenborough, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approx. 15m south of the entrance to Gaza Trading Estate.
The alternative route is via Scabharbour Road, Philpots Lane, Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, Weald Interchange, Morleys Road and vice versa.
School Lane, West Kingsdown, TN15 6AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, West Kingsdown, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Manor Road and Hallwood Place.
The alternative route is via School Lane, Tinkerpot Lane, Knatts Valley Road, Botsom Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.
Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks, TN13 1UY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of carriageway resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 2 nights between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Purelake Home Development Site.
There is no alternative route but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
Uckfield Lane, Hever, TN8 7LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of pole testing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uckfield Lane, Hever, on or after 30th July 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hazeldene.
The alternative route is via Uckfield Lane, Buckhurst, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill, B2026 Hartfield Road, B2026 Mill Hill, Hever Road and vice versa.
Westways, Edenbridge, TN8 6GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a frame and cover replacement, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westways, Edenbridge, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
