Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

A20 High Street, Maidstone, ME15 6YD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 High Street, Maidstone, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from property number 53 to the junction of Mill Street, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - A249 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A249 Mote Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, King Street.

To allow underground cabling installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

To allow drainage gully installation and resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Lower Street, Leeds, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Abbey Farm House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Norton Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road and vice versa.



Beaconsfield Road & Eccleston Road, Tovil, ME15 6QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow carriageway patching works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Beaconsfield Road & Eccleston Road, Tovil, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Beaconsfield Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with the primary school exit. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beaconsfield Road, Wharf Road, Lower Tovil, Church Road and vice versa.

Eccleston Road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with the primary school entrance. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Bower Place, Maidstone, ME16 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow meter pit works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Place, Maidstone, on or after 28th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bower Place, A26 Tonbridge Road, Bower Lane, Bower Place and vice versa.



Horseshoes Lane, Langley Heath, ME17 3JZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow footway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horseshoes Lane, Langley, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 35 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A274 Sutton Road to the junction with Heath Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Sutton Road, B2163 Leeds Road, Horseshoes Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained via a diversion in the carriageway.

To allow drainage connection and carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kenward Road, Yalding, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 33 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside property number 22 to the bend in road prior to Court Lodge Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kenward Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, Small Profits, Hunt Street, Kenward Road and vice versa.



Love Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway ditch and headwall repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Love Lane, Headcorn, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Smarden Road to the entrance to Homestall Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Love Lane, Smarden Road and vice versa.



Milebush Lane, Marden, TN12 9AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plain Road, Marden, on or after 31st July 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 110 metres Northeast of property named Poulters. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plain Road, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, B2079 Church Green, B2079 High Street, Howland Road, Albion Road, Plain Road and vice versa.

To allow bellmouth construction works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of land North of Little Cheveney Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sheephurst Lane, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, B2079 Church Green, B2079 High Street, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate and vice versa.

The road will be closed between the junction with Hanover Road and the junction with Westway. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The road will be closed from the junction with Chegworth Road, for a distance approximately 306 metres in an East direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
