What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
A226 Gravesend Road & Dillywood Lane, Higham, ME3 7NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dillywood Lane, Higham, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The cycle lane will be suspended on part of A226 Gravesend Road.
Dillywood Lane will be closed at the junction with A226 Gravesend Road.
The cycle lane will be suspended at the junction with Dillywood Lane.
The alternative route is via Dillywood Lane, B2000 Lower Rochester Road, B2108 Brompton Farm Road, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
A226 Gravesend Road & Telegraph Hill, Higham ME3 7NZ (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION & PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Scotia Gas Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order for the cycle lane to be temporarily suspended on part of A226 Gravesend Road, Higham and through traffic on Telegraph Hill, Higham shall be temporarily prohibited, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be temporarily suspended between Sir John Falstaff and Findhorn.
Telegraph Hill will be closed at the junction with A226 Gravesend Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A226 Gravesend Road, Forge Lane, School Lane, Hermitage Road, Telegraph Hill and vice versa.
Packham Road, Northfleet, DA11 7JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of footway reconstruction works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Packham Road, Northfleet, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 61 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via New House Lane, Coldharbour Road and vice versa.
Tanyard Hill & Woodlands Lane, Shorne, DA12 3EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tanyard Hill and Woodlands Lane, Shorne, on or after 29th July 2026 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
Tanyard Hill will be closed from Woodlands Lane to Racefield Close and Woodlands Lane from Tanyard Hill to outside Venesta.
The alternative route is via Tanyard Hill, Woodlands Lane, The Ridgeway and vice versa.
Wrotham Road, Meopham, DA13 9AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Southern Water Services works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wrotham Road, Meopham, on or after 13th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between A227 Wrotham Road and Station Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
