ASHFORD AREA
A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A262 Tenterden Road, Biddenden from 27th July 2026, with estimated completion by 29th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of John Page Trailers Ltd, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Benenden Road, Biddenden from 13th July 2026 with estimated completion by 15th July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Spill Land Country Park, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Benenden Road, A262 Tenterden Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A28 Ashford Road, A28 Silver Hill, A28 Ashford Road, A28 East Cross, A28 High Street, A28 West Cross, A28 Rolvenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Tenterden Road from Clapper Hill to Pb, Biddenden, Benenden Road and vice versa.

To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Bethersden from 1st August 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd August 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Snoad Hill Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bethersden Road, Sparrow Hatch Lane, Dowle Street Road, Station Road, End Of Pluckley Road At River Beult To Chambers Green Road, Station Approach, Pluckley Road, Fridd Lane and vice versa.

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Forstal Road, Egerton from 13th July 2026, with estimated completion by 18th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Brookgates heading 50m to the junction with Bedlam Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forstal Road, Crocken Hill Road, Olivers Acre, Mundy Bois Road, Mundy Bois Lane, Bell Lane, Headcorn Road and Bedlam Lane.

The road will be closed approximately 120m north of the entrance to High Poles Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fosten Lane, A262 Sissinghurst Road, High Street, Tenterden Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Frith Road, Aldington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Frith Road, Aldington from 16th July 2026 with estimated completion by 17th July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 25m south of Apple Tree House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Frith Road, Ashford Road, B2067 Bonnington Road, Knoll Hill, Roman Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Giggers Green Road, Aldington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Giggers Green Road, Aldington from 16th July 2026 with estimated completion by 17th July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed north of Rushfield, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Giggers Green Road, From Newchurch Town Boundary To Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane, Newchurch Road, B2067 Bonnington Road and Knoll Hill.

Hawthorn, Appledore, TN26 2AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow water mains works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hawthorn, Appledore from 13th July 2026, with estimated completion by 2nd October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with The Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Halden Road, Biddenden, TN27 8JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Halden Road, Biddenden from 27th July 2026 with estimated completion by 28th July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 150m west of the junction with Wagstaff Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wagstaff Lane, High Halden Road, High Halden Road From Pb To Pb, Pot Kiln Lane, Smarden Road, Bethersden Road, Biddenden Road, The Cut, A274 Headcorn Road, North Street, Tenterden Road and vice versa.

Lower Lees Road, Chilham, CT4 8AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Lees Road, Chilham from 27th July 2026, with estimated completion by 5th August 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2 Rochester Villas, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Lees Road, Selling Road, New Cut Road, A252 Maidstone Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Shalmsford Road and vice versa.

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pook Lane Junction With Parish Boundary At Great Omenden Farm To Grigsby Lane, Smarden from 16th July 2026 with estimated completion by 17th July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 15m north of number 1 Great Omenden Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pook Lane Junction With Parish Boundary At Great Omenden Farm To Grigsby Lane, Tilden Chapel Lane, Smarden Road, Pook Lane, Wagstaff Lane and vice versa.

To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pope Street, Godmersham from 22:00 hours on 16th July 2026, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 17th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20m either side of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Shenley Road, Smarden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026

The road will be closed from the junction with Moons Green heading approximately 1170m northbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Moons Green, Palstre Court Road, Poplar Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, A28 Canterbury Road, Harville Road, Bridge Street, Churchfield Way, High Street and Olantigh Road.
