LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION OF RESTRICTED ROADS (NO1)) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 19th June 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2) and 83(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the following:
a) The “Lancashire County Council (Longsight Road, Osbaldeston, Ribble Valley) (Revocation and Restricted Road) Order 2014” in full;
b) “The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No. 4) Order 1968” in full;
c) “The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.15) Order 1971” in full;
d) “The Lancashire County Council (A666 Whalley Road, Langho and Wilpshire, Ribble Valley Borough) (Revocation and Restricted Road) Order 2001” in full.
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.
This Order will come into force on the 6th July 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk
