Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby intends to make the following Order:-
The effect of the named Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Canterbury;
HEART IN HAND ROAD - (1) On the west side from its junction with May Street for a distance of 193 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with May Street for a distance of 177 metres in a southerly direction. MAY STREET - (1) On the north side from its junction with Sweechbridge Road to its junction entrance with the Southern Water site. (2) On the southwest side from its junction with Heart in Hand Road to its junction with Sweechbridge Road. (3) On both sides from its junction with Sweechbridge Road for a distance of 193 metres in a southeasterly direction. SWEECHBRIDGE ROAD – (1) On both sides from its junction with May Street for a distance of 46 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On both sides from its junction with May Street to its junction with Thanet Way Slip Road. THANET WAY SLIP ROAD – (1) On the north side from its junction with Sweechbridge Road for a distance of 242 metres in an easterly direction and 150 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south side from a point in line with its junction with Sweechbridge Road for a distance of 252 metres in an easterly direction and 157 metres in a westerly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
The effect of the made named Order will be to:-
a. consolidate all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking place provisions in all roads within the District of Canterbury as marked and signed on street; and
b. present the provisions for all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking places in a new Map-based Traffic Regulation Order without change to those provisions, as currently marked and signed on street.
The Order was made on 9 July 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 July 2026.

(AMENDMENT No.36) ORDER 2026
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the named Order is to place a no waiting restriction at any time (DYL) on the following length of roads in Yalding, Maidstone:-
BENOVER ROAD – On the south side from the western boundary of Lyngs Farm House for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.31) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Bobbing, Swale:-
ROBINS CLOSE – (1) To extend the current restriction on its north west side for a distance of 7 metres in a westerly direction. (2) To extend the current restriction on its south east side for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction and in the turning head.

(AMENDMENT No.13) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells:-
CHURCH ROAD – On the northeast side from its junction with Maidstone Road for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. MAIDSTONE ROAD – On the west side from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 19 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order was made on 9 July 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 July 2026.

(AMENDMENT No.16) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Capel, Tunbridge Wells:-
BADSELL ROAD – DYL – On the north east side to a point 6 meters north west and to a point 6 meters south east of its junction with Falmouth Place. FALMOUTH PLACE – DYL – (1) On both sides of its junction with Badsell Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) On the south side from the south west junction with the track for a distance of 14.5 metres in a south westerly direction.
The Order was made on 9 July 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 July 2026.
