NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A417 Leadon Way, Ledbury, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A417 Leadon Way, Ledbury, from the roundabout adjoining Martins Way to the roundabout adjoining The Full Pitcher Pub. Grid Ref: 370529 / 236680 to 370341/236794.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is:- For cars and light vehicles - the A438 Hereford Road onto the Homend onto The High Street onto The Southend and vice versa. For HGVs - The A449 onto the A40 onto the A417 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night (2000hrs - 0600hrs).
