PUBLIC FOOTPATHS O22 (PART) AND O35 (PART) BARDON HILL QUARRY
WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH AND THE DISTRICT OF NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND CREATION ORDER 2023

On 19th June 2026 Leicestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parishes of Markfield and Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth and the District of North West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617A, which extends from Grid Reference 44695 31181 to Grid Reference 44691 31205, then on to Grid Reference 44654 31267.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617A, which extends from Grid Reference 44691 31205 to Grid Refence 44709 31196.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617B, which extends from Grid Reference 45655 31306, to Grid Reference 44662 31313.

The sections of Public Footpath to be diverted has a recorded width of 1.8 metres.

A Public Footpath, reference O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, as shown by bold black dashes on Plan No. 2617A, which extends Grid Reference 44639 31198 to Grid Reference 44658 31194. Then to Grid Reference 44695 31181. Then continuing to Grid Reference 44704 31178.Then continuing to Grid Reference 44709 31196.

A Public Footpath, reference O22, within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, as shown by bold black dashes on Plan No. 2617B, which extends from Grid Reference 45655 31306 to Grid Reference 44662 31313.

The sections of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres.

The section of Public Footpath O35 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617B, which extends from Grid Reference 44703 31338 to Grid Reference 44716 31365.

Then to Grid Reference 44658 31194. Then continuing to Grid Reference 44704 31178.

The section of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres. A Public Footpath, reference O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, as shown by bold black dashes on Plan No. 2617A, which extends from Grid Reference 44709 31196 to Grid Reference 44731 31210. Then continuing to Grid Reference 44736 31207. The section of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR and North-West Leicestershire District Council, Belvoir Road, Coalville LE67 3PD during normal office hours. A copy has also been sent to Bardon Parish Council and Markfield Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.

The Order comes into force on 31st July 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court.

WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH AND THE DISTRICT OF NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE PUBLIC PATH (TEMPORARY) STOPPING UP ORDER 2023

On 19th June 2026 Leicestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 261 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The section of Public Footpath O35 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire as shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617B, which extends from Grid Reference 44681 31300 to Grid Reference 44703 31338.

The section of footpath to be temporarily stopped up has no recorded width.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR and North-West Leicestershire District Council, Belvoir Road, Coalville LE67 3PD during normal office hours.
