Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Highway Works

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 500898 BAK LANE (AMPNEY CRUCIS PARISH)

COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500898 Back Lane Road, from outside of the property known as 'Quarme Cottage' to outside of the property known as 'Starose' for a distance of approximately 38 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for the installation of a new water connection.

The said road is expected to be closed from 7th July 2026 until 13th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES)

CHELTENHAM BOROUGH AND COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for lining works.

The said roads are expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 between the hours of 20:15 and 08:00 hours each night where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 25th July 2026, but the Order can continue until the said works have been completed for a maximum duration of 18 months.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C180 WATERMOOR ROAD

(CIRENCESTER TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C180 Watermoor Road from its junction with King Street to its junction with The Avenue for a distance of approximately 333 metres.

The reason for the closure is for works by BT Openreach.

The road is expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401497 CHAVENAGE LANE

(TETBURY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401497 Chavenage Lane from its junction with Charlton Lane to outside of the property known as 'Chavenage House' for a distance of approximately 1,286 metres. The reason for the said closure is for carriageway patching works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 20th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
