Traffic Management Order - (The Tower Hamlets (Shadwell Ward) - (Parking Places) (Map Based) - (Experimental) - (Modification) Order 2026 - The Tower Hamlets (Shadwell Ward) - (Waiting Loading And Stopping Restrictions) - (Map Based) - (Experimental) - (Modification) Order 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 02nd of July 2026 made the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (as amended).

2. The general effect of the Orders referred to in paragraph 1 ("the modification Orders") will be to vary the provisions of the Tower Hamlets (Shadwell Ward) (Parking Places) (Map Based) (Experimental) Order 2026, and The Tower Hamlets (Shadwell Ward) (Waiting Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Map Based) (Experimental) Order 2026 ("the Original Experimental Orders") so as to make the following changes on Martha Street: Opposite no.148 – to replace the shared use parking bay (Cashless payment and Permit holder parking) by extending existing general loading bay westwards.

3. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 13th of July 2026 and may remain in force until 7th August 2027 and all relevant documents, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the Orders cease to have effect, at: Parking Development, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, 585-593 Commercial Road, London, E1 0HJ, or obtained by emailing: parking.TMO@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

5. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the modified Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to make relevant comments or objections to such indefinite continuation of the provisions, may within a period of six months from the 02nd of July 2026 or, if these Orders is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Act, six months from the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Any such objection must be made in writing and must state the grounds on which it is made and be sent to the address in paragraph 3 above or by emailing: Parking.TMO@Towerhamlets.gov.uk, quoting reference: - P10 2268.
