MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC150882209: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Withington Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wilmslow Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Palatine Road, Oak Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate replacing manhole frame and cover with permanent reinstatement. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 8th July 2026 between the hours of 20:00 and 23:00. The order shall come into operation on the 8th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
