What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Stone Lane, Wimborne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th September 2026.
This Order will enable Ford Civil Engineering to carry out highways and signal improvements to the existing junction with West Borough.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; Stone Lane, Wimborne Minster between Knobcrook Road and West Borough as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To temporarily revoke the existing 7.5t weight restriction Orders on Various Roads, Wimborne Minster as indicated so far as they relate to the sections and lengths of road as indicated by signs on site to maintain access during the road closure.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, B3081, Wimborne St Giles
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7th August 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: B3081, Wimborne St Giles as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3081, Wimborne St Giles.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Salisbury Road, Pimperne.

Temporary Closure of Foxhills Roads, Lytchett Matravers
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Foxhills Road, Lytchett Matravers, between A35 Dorchester Road and Deans Drove, a distance of approximately 1900 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th August 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
