Leicester City Council (Garland Crescent, Leicester) (No Waiting and No Loading Prohibitions) (Parking Consolidation Order 2025 Amendment No.17) Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (TMP1016)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Leicester City Council ("the Council") HAS MADE an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
Garland Crescent
1. To amend existing No waiting at any time/No loading at any time
2. Introduce No waiting/No loading Monday to Friday (inclusive) 8-9am & 3-4pm
3. Introduce no stopping on a school keep clear Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
A COPY of the Order, the relevant plans, the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and extract copies of the Order being amended may be seen at Leicester City Council's website: leicester.gov. uk/trafficregulationorders, on Traffweb: https://leicester. traffweb.app or during normal opening hours at Leicester City Council, Customer Service Centre, 91 Granby Street, Leicester, LE1 6FB.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order (which was made on 1st July 2026) or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 1st July 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO FORCE ON 6TH JULY 2026.
The Order will introduce waiting and loading restrictions in addition to a mandatory school keep clear restriction on Garland Crescent. This is to help with school safety. These proposals we previously advertised under the following Order title: The Leicester (Consolidation) Traffic Regulation Order 2006 (Amendment) Garland Crescent TRO, Leicester. This has now change to the title shown at the top of this Notice, as Leicester made a new 2025 Consolidation Order revoking the 2006 Consolidation Order.
