Wembley - Proposed Traffic Orders For Parking, Waiting , Loading & Speed Restrictions

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
The Brent (Parking Places) (Zone W) (No.* ) Order 202* - The Brent (Waiting And Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Order 202* - The Brent (Speed Limits) (No.* ) Traffic Order 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough of Brent propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Order would be to:-
(a) on the north-east side of Linden Avenue, convert the single yellow line waiting restriction located opposite the party wall of Nos. 26 and 28 Linden Avenue to residents’ permit holders;
(b) on the north-east side of Mostyn Avenue:
(i) extend the residents’ permit holders bay adjacent to No. 2 Dennis Avenue by 2 metres eastwards;
(ii) extend the residents’ permit holders bay outside No.1 Mostyn Avenue by 1.5 metres eastwards.
3. The general effect of the 'Waiting and Loading Restriction' Order would be to:-
(a) introduce "at any time" loading restrictions in the following locations:
(i) Dagmar Avenue, north-east side, 7.1 metres westwards from its western junction with Wembley Hill Road, adjacent to Portland House, Wembley Hill Road;
(ii) Wembley Hill Road, north-west side, from its junction with Linden Avenue, south-westwards for a distance of 8.7 metres;
(iii) Wembley Hill Road, north-west side, from a point opposite the northern building wall of No. 31 Wembley Hill Road to a point 4.6 metres north-east of the south-western property boundary of No. 33a Wembley Hill Road.
(b) convert single yellow line waiting restrictions to double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions in the following locations:
(i) Dagmar Avenue, south-west side, from the party wall of Nos. 3 and 5 Dagmar Avenue eastwards for a distance of 14.8 metres;
(ii) Dagmar Avenue, north-east side, from the party wall of Nos. 28 and 30 Dagmar Avenue to a point 0.7 metres north-west of the party wall between Nos. 38 and 40 Dagmar Avenue;
(iii) Dagmar Avenue, north-east side, from a point 5.3 metres east of the eastern wall of No. 72 Dagmar Avenue, eastwards for a distance of 17.6 metres;
(iv) Dagmar Avenue, north-east side, from its junction with Park Lane, eastwards for a distance of 12.4 metres;
(v) Dennis Avenue, west side, from its junction with Linden Avenue and a point 7.1 metres north of the northern property boundary of No. 15 Dennis Avenue;
(vi) Dennis Avenue, west side, from the party wall of Nos. 2 and 4 Dennis Avenue and its junction with Mostyn Avenue;
(vii) Dennis Avenue, east side, from its junction with Linden Avenue and a point 9 metres north of the party wall between Nos. 16 and 18 Dennis Avenue;
(viii) Linden Lawns, in its entirety;
(ix) Mostyn Avenue, north-east side, from a point 2.1 metres north-west of the eastern wall of No. 1 Mostyn Avenue, eastwards for a distance of 8.3 metres; and
(x) Mostyn Avenue, south-west side, from a point 4 metres south-east from the eastern wall of No. 2 Mostyn Avenue, eastwards for a distance of 8.1 metres.
4. The general effect of the 'Speed Limit' Order would be to reduce the speed limit of the following roads from 30mph to 20mph in their entirety unless otherwise stated:
(a) Dagmar Avenue;
(b) Lea Gardens, between its junction with Park Lawns and its junction with Corinium Close;
(c) Linden Avenue;
(d) Mostyn Avenue;
(e) Park Lawns;
(f) Park Place;
(g) South Meadows; and
(h) Wembley Hill Road, the south-western arm, the section located outside Nos. 69 to 87 Wembley Hill Road.
5. The prohibitions referred to in paragraphs 3 above would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in certain circumstances, e.g., the picking up or setting down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol, etc., from roadside petrol stations; to licensed street traders, etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person’s "Blue Badge" would apply.
6. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the relevant Orders of 1979 and 2019 (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of maps which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at: Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

8. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to any of the proposed Orders, or to any of the proposals, send a statement in writing of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to: trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, or in writing to: The Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, HA9 0FJ, quoting the reference TO/12/306/GD, to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
