What is happening?

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary One-Way Traffic Restriction Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to
impose a temporary one-way restriction over an area of highway being
B3247 Between Military Road And Withnoe Lane, Freathy between the
junctions of Military Road and Clampet Lane in a north west to south
easterly direction.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed owing to public safety during the Mount Edgcumbe American and Classic Car Show & Summer Fayre event.
The Order will come into operation at 0730 hours on 2nd August 2026 and continue until 1800 hours on the 2nd August 2026, weekends
included.
Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified
above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the
permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
