Public Path Extinguishment Order 2026

The above order made by Cornwall Council on 25 June 2026 under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 will, if confirmed, extinguish a length of Public Footpath 6 in the Parish of Lansallos commencing at its junction with a part of Footpath 6 Lansallos to be retained approximately 94 metres south-south-east of ‘Ancient Cottage’ at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SX 23449/54435 then continuing in a generally north-north-westerly direction for a distance of 111 metres to a point where it terminates at the parish boundary short of its junction with Unclassified Road (U6148) approximately 19 metres north of ‘Ancient Cottage’ at OSGR SX 23385/54524.

and have
also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Looe Library and
Information Service, Millpool, Looe PL13 2AF. Between the hours of
9.30am to 1pm on Monday, 9.30am to 7pm on Tuesday, 9.30am to 5pm
on Thursday, 9.30am to 1pm on Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
Alternatively copies of the order and order map may be obtained free of
charge from proworders@cornwall.gov.uk.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Officer at Public Rights of Way, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, TR1 3AY or by email to proworders@cornwall.gov.uk (quoting reference HAE 028) no later than
Wednesday 05 August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are
made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, then Cornwall Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
