(DOUGLAS PLACE, BEARSDEN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On the 02 July 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on a section of Douglas Place, Bearsden, between the vehicular access to Douglas Place Car Park and its junction with New Kirk Road, Bearsden, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. The exit within Douglas Place car park onto Douglas Place, Bearsden, will also be closed and vehicles will be diverted by way of the existing exit onto Roman Road, Bearsden.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday 13 July 2026 until 18.00 hours on Saturday 18 July 2026.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of Roman Road, the A809 Drymen Road, Kirk Road, and New Kirk Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
