U8282 WEST ROAD ERRINGTON PLACE FOOTWAY PRUDHOE (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8282 West Road Errington Place Footway Prudhoe from its junction with U8282 Fair View heading in a westerly direction for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th July 2026 until the 28th August 2026.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 20th July 2026 until the 14th August 2026 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th August 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6395, U8282 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C218 GUNNERTON TO PITY ME BARRASFORD PARK GUNNERTON (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C218 Gunnerton to Pity Me Barrasford Park Gunnerton 800 metres south westwards from its junction with C213 Birtley to Barrasford Park heading further south westerly for a distance of 360 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th July 2026 until the 4th September 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th July 2026 until the 14th August 2026 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th September 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C213, A68, A6079, C220, C216, C218 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U8048 LOUGH GREEN TO LANGLEY CASTLE HAYDON BRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8048 Lough Green to Langley Castle Haydon Bridge from its junction with A686 Whitfield to Haydon Bridge heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 115 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd July 2026 until the 24th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 22nd July 2026 between the hours of 09:00 & 13:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 24th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8048, C287, U8053, U8047, A686 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

PARISH OF CORBRIDGE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 30 (TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Corbridge Public Footpath Number 30, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Parish of Corbridge Public Footpath Number 30
From a point 310 metres east of the junction with Parish of Corbridge Public Footpath Number 14, in a north westerly direction, for a distance of 545 metres, to a point 135 metres north of Farnley Haugh Lake, Corbridge.
There is no alternative route available.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th July 2026 until the 20th January.

U8290 MARKET PLACE HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8290 Market Place Hexham for its entire length of 34 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th July 2026 until the 21st August 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th July 2026 until the 25th July 2026 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st August 2026.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C324 Eals Bank from its only position Townhead Barn, Eals Bank in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 850 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th July 2026 until the 13th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 on the 6th July 2026 however the Order will remain in force until the 13th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C324, A689, C323, and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C302 MAIN STREET HALTWHISTLE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C302 Main Street Haltwhistle from its junction with U7048 Main Street to Fair Hill heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 9th July 2026 until the 12th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 9th July 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C302, B6322, U7046 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8016 Shilburn Road from its point with the front of Glen Cottage heading in a south westwards direction for a distance of 70 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th July 2026 until the 24th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th July 2026 until the 17th July 2026 the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 24th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8016, B6303, C296, U8017 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 16)
TEMPORARY DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above Order was made on 17th June 2026. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily divert the rights of way as follows:-
Public Footpath No 16 (Parish of Kirkwhelpington)
To temporarily extinguish Public Footpath No 16 (Parish of Kirkwhelpington), from the U5012 road (Byway No 42) 335 metres north-east of Northside, (OS grid reference: NY 3989 5826) in a general northerly direction for 740 metres, to a point, 230 metres south-east of Three Farms (NY 3991 5834).
To temporarily create a 1.5 metre wide path from a point on the U5012 road (Byway No 42) 335 metres north-east of Northside, (NY 3989 5826) in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 40 metres then in a general north-westerly direction for a distance of 320 metres to a point (NY 3988 5829) then continuing in a northerly direction for a distance of 300 metres then in a north-easterly direction for a distance 325 metres to a point, 230 metres south-east of Three Farms. (NY 3991 5834).
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Hexham Library, The Queens Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham, NE46 3LS and at Main Reception, County Hall, Morpeth, during normal working hours. Any representations or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Barbara McCabe Legal Officer at the address shown below no later than 13th August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Northumberland County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
The closure is required for the extraction of minerals by quarrying methods at Northside Quarry and will be effective until 31st December 2046 or until the mineral workings and restoration are complete, whichever is the sooner.
