Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
Ashes Lane, Hadlow, TN11 0AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashes Lane, Hadlow, on or after 7th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 60 metres South from Little Poult House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashes Lane, Higham Lane, A227 Shipbourne Road, A227 High Street, A227 Bordyke, A227 Hadlow Road, A26 Hadlow Road, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, Ashes Lane and vice versa.
Birling Hill, Snodland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Hill, Snodland, on or after 7th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the bottom of the walking track leading to Pilgrims Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stangate Road, Snodland Road, Ryarsh Road, Birling Road, The Street, Woodgate Road, Addington Lane, Taylors Lane, Vigo Hill, A227 Gravesend Road, Harvel Road, White Horse Road, Birling Hill and vice versa.
Birling Road, Leybourne, ME19 5HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow bridge deck replacement and bridge strengthening test works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, Leybourne, on or after 20th July 2026 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Ryarsh Road to the Birling Road Roundabout with the A228 Leybourne By Pass, between the hours of 20:00 on Monday 20th July 2026 and 06:00 on 29th August 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Leybourne By Pass, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Roughetts Road, The Street, Birling Road, Ryarsh Road, Bull Road, Birling Road and vice versa.
Bull Lane, Pilgrims Way & Rochester Road, Eccles (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & NO WAITING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and impose no waiting on parts of Bull Lane, Pilgrims Way & Rochester Road, Eccles, on or after 22nd July 2026 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed and no waiting imposed as per the following schedule:
Bull Lane will be closed from 22nd July 2026, with estimated completion by 30th August 2026.
The road will be closed from the junction with Rochester Road/Pilgrims Way to the junction with Mackenders Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, Kits Coty Slip Southbound On, A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Chatham Road, Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, Running Horse Roundabout, Forstal Road, High Street, Bull Lane.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Bull Lane, High Street, Forstal Road, Running Horse Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, Kits Coty Slip Northbound Off, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way.
Pilgrims Way and Rochester Road will be closed from 22nd July 2026, with estimated completion by 7th August 2026.
The roads will be closed at the junction with Bull Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Rochester Road, New Court Road, Village Road, Peters Bridge Road, A228 Holborough Road, A228 Snodland By Pass, A228 Malling Road, A228 Castle way, A228 Leybourne By Pass, A20 London Road, A20 Tonbridge Road, A20 The Broadway, SA229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Kits Coty Northbound Off Slip, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road.

Dodd Road, Higham Wood, TN10 4AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dodd Road, Higham Wood, on or after 7th July 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside property number 20 to the junction with Martin Hardie Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Martin Hardie Way, Turner Road and vice versa.
Hartlake Road, Three Elm Lane & Victoria Road, Golden Green, TN11 0AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Hartlake Road, Three Elm Lane & Victoria Road, Golden Green, on or after 22nd July 2026 for up to 41 days or until the works have been completed. as per the below schedule.
Hartlake Road will be closed from 22nd July 2026 with estimated completion by 9th August 2026, from the junction with Three Elm Lane to Goldhill House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hartlake Road, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, A26 Cannon Lane, A26 Vale Road, A26 Vale Rise, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, Hartlake Road and vice versa.

Victoria Road will be closed from 28th July 2026 with estimated completion by 9th August 2026, in the vicinity of the junction with Three Elm Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Hatham Green Lane, Stansted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow overhead fibre cabling connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hatham Green Lane, Stansted, on or after 21st July 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Ash Lane to the junction with Parsons Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Labour In Vain Road, Plaxdale Green Road, Hatham Green Lane and vice versa.

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kemsing Road, Wrotham, on or after 10th July 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Pilgrims Way and the junction with Exedown Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kemsing Road, Exedown Road, Old Terrys Lodge Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

To allow frame and cover repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Stone Rocks. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow gas main connections to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Teapot Lane & Woodlands Road, Aylesford, on or after 20th July 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
Teapot Lane will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A20 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
