What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Bushey Close, Boughton Under Blean, ME13 9AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bushey Close, Boughton Under Blean from 22nd July 2026 with estimated completion by 24th July 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Brynceri, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne, ME10 3GX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 14th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Seddingbourne Way and Henshaws Vale, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Napleton Road, Faversham, ME13 7JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Napleton Road, Faversham from 20th July 2026, with estimated completion by 7th August 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2040 South Road, North Lane, Bridge Road, Brent Road, Brent Hill, Davington Hill, Curtis Way, West Street, Caslocke Street and Beckett Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
South Avenue & Peregrine Drive, Sittingbourne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of South Avenue & Peregrine Drive, Sittingbourne from 22nd July 2026, with estimated completion by 31st August 2026, or until the works have been completed.
South Avenue will be closed between the junctions with Peregrine Drive and Fulston Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Peregrine Drive will be closed between the junction with South Avenue and number 81, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for South Avenue is via South Avenue, Stanhope Avenue, Bell Road, Chilton Avenue and vice versa.
There is no alternative route for Peregrine Drive, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Winding Hill, Selling. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Winding Hill, Selling from 20th July 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Jesmondene Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hogbens Hill, Selling Street, The Street, Selling Road, A2 Canterbury Road, A251 Ashford Road, Newhouse Lane, Winding Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
