Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Crundale, CT4 7EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Crundale from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 10th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Hunters Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Church Lane From Junction With Sole Street To End, Sole Street and vice versa.

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Acton Lane, Wittersham from 21st July 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Pound Lane and Ebony Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ebony Road, B2080 Reading Street, Tenterden Road, Ferry Road, Appledore Road, Lower Road, Catts Hill, Wittersham Road, B2082 Stocks Road, Acton Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plain Road, Stone Hill, Southenay Lane, Main Road, Swan Lane, Swan Lane Service Road, Blind House Lane, Stone Street, Pilgrims Way, Whiteways, Curteis Lane, Scots Lane, The Street, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Egerton from 7th July 2026, with estimated completion by 10th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Mount Zion Free Church, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forstal Road, Crocken Hill Road and Chapel Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Charminster, Kingsnorth, TN23 5UD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charminster, Kingsnorth from 20th July 2026, with estimated completion by 25th July 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Egerton Road, Charing, TN27 0BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Egerton Road, Charing from 20th July 2026 with estimated completion by 21st July 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 65m north east of the junction with Southfield Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Egerton Road, Charing Heath Road, Pluckley Road, Charing Road, New Road, The Street, Stonebridge Green Road, Field Mill Road and vice versa.

High Halden Road, Biddenden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Halden Road, Biddenden from 24th July 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 55m north of the entrance to The Pinnocks, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Halden Road From Pb To Pb, Pot Kiln Lane, Bull Lane, A28 Ashford Road, A262 Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Tenterden Road, High Halden Road, Wagstaff Lane and vice versa.

The road will be closed approximately 50m north of the entrance to Beacon Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spot House Lane, Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

The road will be closed from number 11 to the end of the road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
