What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS DONNINGTON AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Donnington Avenue for its full length.

The Order will come into effect on 07:00 hours on Monday 6th July 2026 and is required for lining works and associated works on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 10th July 2026.

The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations, to such an extent as when prescribed signs are displayed.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Access to premises would be maintained wherever possible.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to and egress to properties on the closed section of the road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GODIVA IN THE CITY 2026

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a temporary Order to enable the ‘Godiva in the City 2026’ event (“the Event”) to take place safely.

The Order will take effect from 07:00 hours on Thursday 2nd July 2026 until 20:00 hours on Monday 6th July 2026

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, or unloading, entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in The Schedule below. The restrictions will apply at such times and to such extent as stated and when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.

Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an authorised event marshal;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles when necessary at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the Event.

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WAINBODY AVENUE SOUTH, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Wainbody Avenue South on the highway fronting no. 158 and then continuing for approximately 10m in each direction.

The Order will come into effect on 00:01 hours on Tuesday 7th July 2026 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to repair a frame and cover on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Tuesday 7th July 2026.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(d) local vehicular access to Wainbody Avenue South.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS JACKSON ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Jackson Road commencing at its junction with Newport Road and continuing to its junction with Holbrook Road.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 8th July 2026 and is required to enable the safe rebuild of a sluice valve chamber.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 10th July 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Jackson Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENT NORTHBROOK AC 10K FUN RUN & ALLESLEY FESTIVAL 2026

Coventry City Council, under Section 16A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order to enable the Northbrook AC 10k Fun Run & Allesley Festival 2026 (“the Event”) to take place safely.

The Order would come into effect from 11:30 hours on Saturday 11th July 2026 until 16:00 on the same day and then from 08:00 hours on Sunday 12th July 2026 until 12:00 hours on the same day.

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, unloading, entering, or proceeding along the entire lengths of the roads listed, unless otherwise stated in Schedule 1 on Sunday 12th July 2026 from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs, and Schedule 2 from 11:30 - 16:00 Saturday 11th July 2026 when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed. Suspension of parking along the entire lengths of the roads listed is not required unless otherwise stated.

Diversion routes for the closures would be as signed on site. Closures will be marshalled by Northbrook AC volunteers and the Chief Marshal who has undertaken chapter 8 training.

Rolling re opening of roads will be undertaken when it is safe to do so.

Exemptions would be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the event, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform or an authorised traffic management event marshal.

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Fivefield Road commencing from its junction with Bennetts Road and continuing to its junction with Tamworth Road.

The Order would come into effect at 00:01 hours on Monday 13th July 2026 and is required to allow for the installation of a Long Communications pipe on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 16th July 2026.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Mayfield Road commencing at its junction with Earlsdon Avenue South and continuing to its junction with Stanway Road.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Friday 10th July 2026 and is required to enable BT to safely remove a defective telecoms pole.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 23:59 hours on Friday 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Spon Street for its entire length.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 13th July 2026 and is required to enable the installation of 2 HV cables and associated works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 24th July 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Spon Street.
